Brief Job Descriptions

Cabin Leader (Overnight Camp **) – Responsible for staff leadership, ensuring safety, providing personal care to campers, organizing campers’ belongings, planning and leading activities, completing paperwork, behavior intervention, and parent/caregiver interactions.

Unit Leader (Day Camp * & **) – Responsible for ensuring safety, providing personal care to campers, volunteer management, staff leadership, planning and leading activities, completing paperwork, parent/caregiver interactions, organizing campers’ belongings, and behavior intervention.

Cabin Counselor (Overnight Camp **) – Responsible for providing personal care to campers, building positive relationships with campers, planning and leading activities, completing paperwork, parent/caregiver interactions, and ensuring safety.

Unit Counselor (Day Camp * & **) – Responsible for providing personal care to campers, building positive relationships with campers, planning and leading activities, completing paperwork, behavior intervention, and ensuring safety.

One on One Counselor (Overnight* and Day Camp * & ** positions available) - Responsible for providing personal care to camper, building positive relationships with camper, providing alternative activities, completing paperwork, behavior intervention, and ensuring safety.

Floating Counselor (Day Camp only *) – Responsible for filling in to any position needed at any time during the day. Requires a great deal of flexibility and willingness to do what is needed.

Specialist (Overnight Camp ** and Day Camp * & **) – Responsible for planning and leading activities in one or more particular activity areas (art, music, school skills, sports, nature, sensory), adapting activities to meet the individual abilities of campers, assisting groups with care of campers and ensuring safety at all times.

Lifeguards * & ** – Responsible for absolute safety at our two outdoor pools and ponds for fishing and boating. Overnight live-in positions available. Red Cross Lifeguarding certification, CPR, and First Aid certification required.

RN/LPN Nurse * & ** - Needed to work closely with individuals with disabilities during summer camping season.  PRN schedule part-time flexible schedule day and evening hours.  MUST have reliable transportation for occasional travel between Cincinnati and Batavia program sites.  Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to: medication administration, tube feedings, catheterizations, sub-q injections, and first-aid as needed.

Specific Nursing Qualifications:  

• current LPN/RN license

• Able to lift at least 50 lbs. or more

• Work flexible schedule (day/evening - weekdays/weekends)

• Minimum age 21

• Experience preferred, but willing to train the right person
