The National Association of Early Childhood Education and the Division for Early Childhood Council of Exceptional Children has for years researched and developed the most effective developmentally appropriate practices in Early Childhood Education.  Stepping Stones offered the first early childhood program for children with disabilities and was recognized nationally in 1970.  The State Department of Special Education used data collected from the early years in the Tiny Tot program at Stepping Stones for training of all Special Educators.  Today, as a result of many years of research the NAEYC provides standards for all Early Childhood Programs.  Stepping Stones Center currently conforms with ALL the standards, but has not been able to afford the cost of the accreditation process.  Stepping Stones is participating in the Step Up to Quality certification.

Stepping Stones Center is pleased to provide unique toddler and preschool services.  Inclusive year-round full day programs for children eighteen months to five years of age are available for children of all abilities. We are proud to offer quality services for children at our Indian Hill and Batavia sites.

Toddler & Preschool Services

Child Care

·  Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

·  Hours -                                                   7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.                   2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

·  18 months to 3 years of age (toddler)

·  18 months to 5 years of age

·  3 to 5 years of age (preschool)

 

·  One to five days available

·  Full-Time $35  per day     

Wraparound Fee 

$3 per hour (enrolled)

·  Inclusive, all abilities

·  One to five days available

·  Structured, developmental program designed for various stages of development

·  Inclusive, all ability levels

·  Bright, cheerful, clean and well equipped

·  Supervised group play

·  Parents may arrange at their own expense for  Speech and Occupational therapy services without having to transport a child off campus for scheduled therapy sessions.

 

 

 

·  Swimming scheduled several times a week (at Given Road and during summer at Batavia location)

 

·  Excellent care giver to child ratio; limited enrollment

  • partial scholarships available

·  Qualified teachers and experienced  staff

 

·  Fully licensed by the State of Ohio
